Annual Report 2020
The WTO’s Annual Report provides a comprehensive account of the organization’s activities in 2019 and early 2020. The Report opens with a message from Director-General Roberto Azevêdo and a brief overview of the year. This is followed by in-depth accounts of the WTO’s main areas of activity over the past 12 months.

World Trade Report 2007
On 1 January 2008 the multilateral trading system will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary. The World Trade Report 2007 marks the occasion with a retrospective look at what we have learned from those six decades of international trade cooperation. In asking what we have learned the report reviews a rich history of change and institutional adaptation. It attempts to identify both what lessons are to be drawn from past experience and the nature of challenges to come. The World Trade Report is useful for policymakers and for any individuals or groups interested in global trade policy.
The WTO Agreements
This publication contains the text of the WTO’s founding agreement the 1994 Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization and its Annexes including all amendments and additions since its entry into force until September 2017. These include an amendment to the WTO’s intellectual property agreement (TRIPS Agreement) aimed at improving developing countries’ access to medicines the WTO’s Trade Facilitation Agreement which entered into force in February 2017 an amendment adopted in July 2017 to extend the frequency of peer review periods under the Trade Policy Review Mechanism as of 2019 and the amended Government Procurement Agreement. This publication updates and replaces The Legal Texts: The Results of the Uruguay Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations which was first printed in 1994.
GATT Disputes: 1948-1995 - Dispute Settlement Procedures (Vol. 2)
GATT disputes: 1948-1995 (Volume 2) compiles documents regarding dispute settlement procedures under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1947 and other selected documents. It complements Volume 1 which provides a comprehensive overview of dispute settlement activities under the GATT 1947 and a one-page case summary for each of the 316 disputes brought by GATT contracting parties from 1948 to 1995 when the GATT was superseded by the World Trade Organization (WTO). The two volumes offer insights into the evolution of dispute settlement under the GATT 1947 which served as the foundation for the Dispute Settlement Understanding created by the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the WTO.
Annual Report 2009
The new-look Annual Report 2009 of the WTO is split into two main sections. The first is a brief summary of the organization and a review of 2008. The second section provides more in-depth information illustrated with charts tables and photos. The Report also features a personal message from the Director-General who reflects on 2008 and the challenges that lie ahead.
The WTO at Ten
Bringing together articles by some of the leading policy-makers including previous WTO Director-Generals practitioners scholars of international trade law government officials international civil servants Members of the WTO Appellate Body and judges from a number of international tribunals this volume assesses the dispute settlement system during the first ten years of the World Trade Organization. It examines the relationship and balance between political governance and dispute settlement; the functioning of the dispute settlement procedures and various reform proposals; the contribution of the Appellate Body to the development of international trade law; and treaty interpretation in a number of international dispute settlement fora such as the WTO the International Court of Justice the European Court of Justice and the Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. The book has its origins in a series of events commemorating the tenth anniversary of the creation of the WTO dispute settlement system and the Appellate Body.

The Annual Report 2015 provides an overview of WTO activities in 2014 and early 2015. The Report begins with a message from WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo. This is followed by a brief overview of 2014-15 and more in-depth accounts of WTO activities over the past year.
Annual Report 2011
The 2011 WTO Annual Report provides a brief summary of the organization and a detailed review of its activities in 2010. It also includes a personal message from the Director-General who reflects on the events of 2010 and the challenges that lie ahead. The main part of the Report is divided into the five principal areas of activity of the WTO: trade negotiations ─ outlining the latest developments in the Doha Round implementation and monitoring ─ describing how WTO agreements are being implemented and the organisation's trade monitoring role dispute settlement ─ summarizing the commercial disputes brought by WTO members to the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body in 2010 building trade capacity ─ outlining the WTO's efforts to help developing countries improve their trade capacity outreach ─ detailing how the WTO maintains dialogue with a variety of audiences. The Report also features an in-depth look at the WTO's Public Forum and the Open Day which were held in September 2010.

A Handbook on the WTO TRIPS Agreement
This Handbook describes the historical and legal background to the TRIPS Agreement its role in the WTO and its institutional framework. It reviews the following areas: general provisions and basic principles; copyright and related rights; trademarks; geographical indications; patents; industrial designs layout-designs undisclosed information and anti-competitive practices; enforcement of IPRs; dispute settlement in the context of the TRIPS Agreement; TRIPS and public health; and current TRIPS issues. It contains a guide to TRIPS notifications by WTO members and describes how to access the official documentation relating to the TRIPS Agreement and related issues. Furthermore it includes the legal texts of the TRIPS Agreement and the relevant provisions of the WIPO conventions referred to in it as well as subsequent relevant WTO instruments and related non-WTO treaties. The new edition covers the public health revision of the Agreement that entered into force in 2017 and provides updates on other recent developments.
WTO Public Forum 2012
The 2012 WTO Public Forum posed the question: “Is multilateralism in crisis?” providing an opportunity for participants from a variety of backgrounds to discuss this question across the three-day event. The themes of the Forum included formulating new approaches to multilateral trade opening in areas such as trade facilitation addressing 21st-century issues and identifying areas in need of new regulations and examining the role of non-state actors in strengthening the multilateral trading system. This publication contains summaries of all of the sessions held and reports on the results of the WTO Youth Ambassador Programme and Ideas Workshops.
