En 2011, le Bureau de l'audit interne (BAI) a publié deux rapports portant l'un sur les services de nettoyage et d'entretien, et l'autre sur les activités de sécurité et de sûreté. Leur but était d'évaluer les contrôles internes en place, l'adéquation et le respect des conditions contractuelles, l'efficience et l'efficacité des prestations et des ressources, et la fiabilité et l'intégrité de la documentation. Ils visaient également à déterminer le rapport qualité-prix des services fournis.

The first joint Trade Policy Review of the eight member countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) has allowed us to deepen our understanding of the regional and national economic and trade regimes, as well as their developments since 2011. We are grateful to the Secretariat and the Members under review, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo, as well as the WAEMU Commission, for the comprehensive reports prepared for this TPR. I would also like to thank our discussant Ambassador Didier Chambovey from Switzerland, and the 28 delegations that took the floor for their valuable contributions to this Review.
Trade negotiations in 2016
WTO members focused on implementing outcomes from the Nairobi and Bali ministerial conferences and on responding to instructions from ministers in Nairobi on trade negotiations. Following a period of reflection in the first half of the year, there was re-energized and constructive engagement from July onwards across several areas of negotiations as members began to look towards the 11th Ministerial Conference to be held in Buenos Aires in December 2017. In response to the success in Bali and Nairobi, the private sector urged the WTO to deliver further outcomes to boost growth and development.
