Cinquième Examen global de l’Aide pour le commerce
Le cinquième Examen global de l’Aide pour le commerce, qui s’est tenu à l’OMC en juin/ juillet, a montré que les coûts élevés du commerce limitent la capacité des pays en développement de tirer parti des possibilités d’accès aux marchés. Il a attiré plus de 1 500 participants et il a donné lieu au lancement d’une nouvelle publication conjointe de l’OCDE et de l’OMC décrivant l’impact de l’Initiative Aide pour le commerce.
Introduction
The Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPRM) was first established on a trial basis by the GATT contracting parties in April 1989. The Mechanism became a permanent feature of the World Trade Organization under the Marrakesh Agreement which established the WTO in January 1995.
Marco Integrado mejorado
En 2011, el Marco Integrado mejorado (MIM) siguió desempeñando una función esencial de ayuda a algunos de los países más pobres para su integración en el sistema mundial de comercio. Desde que comenzó a desarrollar sus actividades en 2009, el MIM ha prestado apoyo a 40 países para el fortalecimiento de sus instituciones comerciales. El MIM recibe fondos de 23 donantes que, al 31 de diciembre de 2011, habían prometido contribuciones por valor de 235 millones de dólares EE.UU. y aportado unos 155 millones de dólares EE.UU.
