Fondo para la Aplicación de Normas y el Fomento del Comercio
En 2011, las contribuciones al FANFC se cifraron en 5,9 millones de dólares EE.UU., frente a 4,3 millones en 2010. La labor del FANFC se centró en lograr una mayor sensibilización, movilizar recursos, estrechar la colaboración, definir y difundir buenas prácticas, y apoyar y financiar la elaboración y ejecución de proyectos para promover el cumplimiento de las prescripciones sanitarias y fitosanitarias internacionales. Asimismo, adoptó una nueva estrategia a medio plazo (2012–2016) y empezó a preparar un nuevo instrumento para ayudar a los países en desarrollo a determinar sus necesidades prioritarias en materia de creación de capacidad relacionada con las medidas sanitarias y fitosanitarias (MSF) y mejorar el proceso de toma de decisiones.

The year 2003 has been marked by important achievements as well as some disappointments for the multilateral trading system and for the Doha Development Agenda (DDA).

This seventh Trade Policy Review of China has allowed us to take a closer look at the trade and economic policies of China and to deepen our understanding of developments in those policies since its previous Review in 2016. I would like to thank, once again, Vice Minister Wang Shouwen and his delegation for their constructive engagement throughout this exercise. I would also like to thank the discussant, Ambassador Chambovey, Permanent Representative of Switzerland at the WTO, for his insightful and comprehensive remarks; and the 70 delegations which have taken the floor for their active participation.
